At a press conference in Qatar yesterday, General Tommy Franks presented the American sponsors to help pay the invasion and occupation of Iraq. "In order to finance such an expensive operation," General Franks said, "we had to find sponsors for our troops. We are very pleased with the response from the industry in helping our efforts in the Persian Gulf." The General went on to show the new Army uniforms:

Of course that the US Army is not the first to find sponsors. Earlier in the week, the British Army presented its sponsor:
"The extra money," the General concluded, "will allow us to buy the best soldiers, which will make sure we release Iraq's oil . . . I mean, people."
