After more than ten years of intensive study, Microsoft Corporation officially admitted the existence of Linux. Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft, could not conceal his surprise to learn a computer could operate without Windows. "It appears theoretically possible that a few hackers use a computer without Windows, though solely for piracy," he said to journalists. When asked about Apple Macintosh, the founder of Microsoft was surprised. "I've read about some calculater machines without Windows, though direct evidence is lacking."
